A very stirring and stunning album...

Like others who adore music but don't have the necessary equipment to articulate, I'll keep it short....I found out about this stunning album as a long time follower of Steve Jansen (check out Rain Tree Crow, JBK, Nine Horses and Steve's amazing Slope album(s) - his contributions re Japan are probably more obvious to most reviewing this album) and so I go on the basis that "likes attract" and that if the likes of Steve Jansen are willing to invest their time with other aspiring musicians, then that's sort of good enough for me...put simply, Hugh has chosen wisely on many levels (supporting artists, environment for his inspiration which does shine through and very evocative lyrics etc) and as a result, has created an absolutely stunning album from start to finish...I'm now that little more richer because of it and can't wait to see what happens re his next project....
